However, Amazon has an automatic feature that if you don’t scan back in from lunch, and you sign out at the end of the day, It will automatically add the fourth scan.If you are a new white badge and you are late back from lunch I recommend that you take advantage of that automatic feature and don’t scan back in from lunch. The computer will not let you log back in before 30 minutes. Even one minute past that 33 and you will be considered late and must use UPT or PTO. You have 33 minutes from the time you signed out for lunch to scan back in again. If you clock out exactly 6 minutes after your shift every day for two weeks, you will have 48 minutes of overtime. Because the computer will adjust your time back to when your shift ended. if you work exactly 40 hours.doesn’t start until after those five minutes over your shift.
If you clock out five minutes before the end of your shift, the computer will automatically adjust so that you’re clocking out on time. Clocking out at the end of the day works the same way. If you scan in at 7:01 and you’re using UPT you will have two hours deducted. And the definition of good standing is 20 hours of UPT unused. Blue badge full-time only get 48 hours of PTO a year. If you go to work before seven and you’re using UPT, you are working for free. If your using upt, You have until exactly 7 to login, there is no grace. If you are later than those five minutes, You either have to use unpaid time in minute increments, Or you get one hour deducted From your UPT. If you clock in five minutes before or five minutes after the computer automatically adjust your time to show that you logged in at 6.
